By establishing your company or your own personal brand and knowing your direction, writing would be a less daunting task you should do, talking from the experience, it can still be quite dreadful.
As you might already know the important role that content plays in the online marketing – the trust, credibility, and authority it creates that knocks down sales resistance, providing a baseline introduction to the benefits of a particular product or service.
According to the study, the individuals and businesses that are having the most success online tend to take an approach, which involves a high ratio of valuable content that seems to no sales agenda, mixed with periodic promotional messages,
To produce the content, the first thing you need to do is to write it, which is the challenge part for lots of people due to the fear of writing. Speaking of that, there are two common things that comprise it, one would be “Would I be able to publish content regularly?” and the other one “I don’t think my writing style is good enough!”. Well, it is totally understandable if you are thinking like that, but one of the things that I learned along the way in which you should take note of is: “If not now, then when!?”
To start writing, first, take baby steps, don’t promise anything you can’t deliver for yourself and to your readers. When I started, I explicitly mentioned on my affiliate marketing blogging site that I would be publishing content at least twice a week, which is manageable. But in fact, I published more than I have promised, the experience told me that once you get your writing started, you will find yourself increasing your publishing rate as you go along.
Secondly, nothing will start happen if you don’t ‘take action’, don’t write down that first sentence, or don’t even dare write that opening post of yours. You just need to get your foot wet, get it inside that door, from there use your brand identity as a guide to help you prepare and layout your content roadmap.
Think of climbing a mountain. You are standing at the foot of it and looking up at its summit vanishing into the clouds. How can you possibly scale such an immense and dangerous mountain? There is only one way to climb a mountain, which is step by step. So don’t scare of your writing style? Don’t be, as you write more and more you’ll find yourself producing better content, writing needs practice.
Aside from maximizing personal experience for your topics, make sure to utilize the power of social media marketplace to research the topic that relevant to you content (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and forums etc). Those are the good resources place to help you prepare your content plan.
And share your experiences, be a storyteller – write your content in a way for general public, not for academic level. People recall stories better than hard facts, easy to read article is a good way to get readers well acquainted with your brand and writing style.
Content marketing is much bigger than just blogging, video tutorials, email newsletters, white papers, free reports .. etc. It is a broad term that relates to creating and freely sharing informative content as a means of converting prospects into customers and customers into repeat buyers.
So don’t be lazy to write, use your creativity and know-how to make something cool, then take that cool thing and use it to market a product. Your writing content can be a part of any promotion or selling you might do.
