We Like FB’s New “Like” a Page to Become a Fan than “Become a Fan”

The world’s largest online social network Facebook is known for constantly tweaking the way users experience the site. This often draws complaints, but Facebook continues to draw millions of new fans. More than half of its 400 million users log in every day, amazing!

Now, Facebook is changing some of its terminology around how people become fans of its Pages product.

“People will soon connect with your Brand Pages by clicking ‘Like’ rather than ‘Become a Fan,” the company recently began telling advertising agencies about the change, according to Facebook documents obtained by ClickZ and MediaMemo.

“People already ‘Like’ their friends’ status updates, photos and links everyday. In fact, people click “Like” almost two times more than they click “Become a Fan” everyday,” Facebook’s update days.

Although a timetable has not been finalized and neither have all the details about this change, but the changes are coming “soon”, according to Facebook.

Personally I like FB’s new changes and prefer to use ‘Like’ a page to become a fan than ‘become a fan’ in our Facebook Page, currently we have over 5,000 people on board, I found that our relationship with them are more ‘friends’ oriented rather than ‘fans’. I think FB’s coming soon new ‘like’ a page changes can make users more comfortable with linking up with a brand or a person or subjects they are interested in, it could help us have more interaction with our audiences, our conversation with them could become more engaging and our relationship could become more closer,

So let’s Goodbye “fan.” Hello “like.”
