Who Stand Out: Buzz, Twitter, Facebook or Friendfeed

Since Buzz launched weeks ago till now, I am still experiencing it, beside I find Buzz is much more conversational (more conversation driven) compare with few other social networks, it can also use as a private network to share content, news, ideas, and generally create unity during social media campaigns. Rather than that, I haven’t see other results yet (maybe because do not have enough people on the list to test it out).

However, beside learning by doing, I do find some good info and interesting observations from those real GBers comments toward why buzz beats twitter, facebook and friendfeed.

In the article that posted on the Search Engine Journal, Brian Carter wrote:

Buzz vs. Friendfeed

Right now, Buzz basically is Friendfeed but with immediately greater penetration. Real conversations with more people. One interesting difference though, is that people seemed to like the 3.0 aggregator aspect of Friendfeed but:

* Buzz users hate noise, and
* They unfollow people who add Twitter and Friendfeed streams to their Buzz streams.

Buzz beats Friendfeed because Buzz is bigger.

Buzz vs. Twitter

Buzz beats Twitter because Buzz has:

* Longer, more substantial conversations, with
* More replies and
* More attention from participants.

Buzz vs Facebook

No pokes, Zombie kisses, or farming games on Buzz. There’s less downside for ADD folks (and some research suggests that computer multitasking makes our brains temporarily ADD even if we’re not genetically that way).

Less distraction means more focused interaction, and more likelihood of substantial conversation.

Buzz beats Facebook because Buzz protects conversations from noise and spam. … continuing read the entire article here.

Sure, each of these social media sites/apps is different, which attracts different audiences based on their variability of the features or formats etc, hence crossover is unavoidable.

I think it really does not matter which one is more important than the other or which one you should be using, the things matter the most is how to utilize and leverage each social media network’s power to engage and communicate with your audiences and get your message out, NOT to just dumping anything and everything to every social media outlet.
